Working for the first time with the talented up and coming composer Carlos José Alvarez, we are proud to present to you a very stylish orchestral score for Brittany Murphy's final movie, the thriller Deadline. Alvarez score brings sophistication and elegance to a genre where most low budget films are accompanied by cheap synthesized generics - the score for Deadline is written primarily for strings and woodwinds, and makes use of confident harmonic writing which sustains suspense and provides emotional depth to the story. Those of you who have followed MovieScore Media since the days of our first CD releases know Jeff Toyne's name: his magnificent orchestral score for the low budget horror film Shadow in the Trees established its composer as a major new name to watch. Exclusively available as a download only, we now present his dark and mesmerizing score for the thriller Within. This album also includes a couple of great songs by Miriam Jones and a hilarious, Elfman-esque Halloween celebration featuring the vocals of Cameron Grant and Melissa Kaplan.
