More pace! More excitement! Let\u2019s ramp it up!\u2019 Those were my marching orders and I tried to get into that way of thinking. It was lots of notes and lots of activity to create this crazy score. The interesting thing to me is the virtuoso writing of animated films that Carl Stalling did. It\u2019s one of the few scoring arenas where you can really write a lot of notes and not worry about crushing the scenes or dialogue to death. So that was always the most fun part of listening to that kind of music and then being able to write it here. The brass players almost died playing <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Rock-a-Doodle<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> because there were a billion notes in this. A billion! But it was fun. I don\u2019t think I ever worked as hard on a movie as I did on this one. Folk has also composed and conducted numerous concert works including symphonic, vocal and chamber music compositions.
