Original score from the 2010 animated comedy feature film directed by Edward McHenry and Rory McHenry, starring Hugh Fraser, Alexander Armstrong and Rory McHenry.

THE STORY: A satirical alternative history of World War II where the Nazis seize London and England must band together to prevent a full-on invasion.

THE SCORE: Here is one of the most hilarious scores – and films – of this year! Guy Michelmore (Ultimate Avengers, The Invincible Iron Man, Planet Hulk, Doctor Strange, Frozen) has whipped up a wonderfully tongue-in-cheek, old-school orchestral action score that recalls the best of British WW2 film scores of the 1950s and 1960s – with just a little dash of modern instrumentation. Complete with a rousing and heroic main theme march, Jackboots on Whitehall features a score that had to carry a lot of the dramatic and emotional qualities throughout the story due to the limited ‘acting’ of the film’s plastic mannequins. Our CD features over 60 minutes of music with a lot of exciting action scoring, always with that charming nod to film music history, exquisitly performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic. Not to be missed! CD release co-incides with the theatrical release of the film in the UK.
