THE STORY: While stuck at her sister’s baby shower a thirty-something woman is forced to decide whether she wants to have kids or not after unexpectedly giving birth to her reproductive organs.

THE SCORE: Ovary-Acting‘s music is integral in carrying its light hearted nature, as well as its very poignant and relatable subject matter. Featuring a colourful orchestral score by Joseph Stevenson and an immensely catchy song by Alastair McNamara, the soundtrack captures the fun and comedic tone of the film, parodying old-style Hollywood scores and larger-than-life broadway musicals, whilst also supporting the film’s more serious emotional message during it’s quieter moments.

THE COMPOSER: Joseph Stevenson is a BAFTA nominated Scottish composer and producer for film, TV and games currently based in London. He has worked with Lorne Balfe on numerous productions, including His Dark Materials, Mayflies, Life on Our Planet, and Ticket to Paradise.
