The Lord of All Future Space and Time (Alexander Bornstein)

Original score from the 2025 adventure short directed by Chris Paul Russell, starring Roy Williams Jr, Paulette Caballero and Ray Buffer, produced by Epic Level Entertainment.

THE STORY: When a duffel bag explodes into existence over the Nevada desert, Dyson Wheeler – set to be hanged – seizes his chance at escape. Thus begins Wheeler’s mission to avenge the death of his beloved wife Rachel, and in the process, create our particular pocket of space-time, The Future That Matters to Us.

THE SCORE: The score for The Lord of All Future Space and Time blends familiar sounds of classic Western film music with a more cosmic, modern palette. Drawing on influences like Ennio Morricone, the music features a mix of traditional orchestral writing, electric and acoustic guitars, solo vocals, and theremin. These elements come together to reflect the film’s unusual tone—part space adventure, part existential comedy, and part Western. The orchestra provides the emotional foundation, while guitars and vocals bring a more grounded, human feel to the world. The theremin adds a touch of the surreal, often floating above the rest of the texture to hint at the film’s sci-fi edge. Rather than leaning heavily on one style, the score shifts between them to follow the story—sometimes big and sweeping, sometimes quiet and spare. The goal was to create a sound that felt both familiar and a little strange, matching the film’s blend of humor, melancholy, and imagination without ever overpowering it.” – Alexander Bornstein
