Mimesis (Raphaël Dargent)

Original score from the 2025 drama short directed by Alexis Stan, starring
Hadelin de Ponteves, Arnaud Agnel and Vincent Paquot, produced by Mimesis Pictures (France).

THE STORY: During a Shakespeare production, a close-knit troupe hits its marks while, backstage, a simmering jealousy cracks the company’s unity. Personal rivalries have seized the stage, and no one can tell where Shakespeare ends and reality begins.

THE SCORE: “Picture a single take through the shadows of a French theater, where fiction and reality intertwine. Mimesis, a film by Alexis Stan, features a chamber orchestra score composed by Raphaël Dargent, woven with lyrical themes, refined textures, and beautiful, haunting violin solos. As the film’s classical tragedy unfolds, the music itself becomes part of the play; a delicate, immersive journey that draws you straight into the heart of this intimate world.” – Raphaël Dargent
