Original score from the 2022 drama comedy feature film directed by Annika Appelin, starring Peter Stormare, Marie Richardson and Ida Engvall, produced by Anagram and released by SF Studios (Sweden).

THE STORY: A sudden change forces Karin to re-evaluate her life. With the help of friends, food and passion she refuses to accept that life has an expiration date and takes the second chance she is given.

THE SCORE: “For Tuesday Club, I wanted to create a romantic comedy score that is emotionally honest – that doesn’t pull any cheap tricks or fall into melodrama, which can be a result of unearned emotion. In other words: take the genre very seriously. The story is about never being too late to change your life for the better – to reinvent yourself. This called for vibrancy, joie de vivre, warmth, which was all brought by my main soloist, the legendary guitarist, George Doering, who played hammered dulcimer, mandolin, lyre, electric guitar, etc. I put together a blend of Nordic and Hollywood, with a touch of French sounds.” – Lasse Enersen

THE COMPOSER: Born in Hamburg, Germany , Finnish-Norwegian composer Lasse Enersen has has been creating distinctive scores to internationally recognized films and series for over a decade. He is perhaps most well-known for his scores to Tom of Finland (which he scored with the Oscar-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir), and The Unknown Soldier (the highest grossing film in Finnish history). Enersen’s unique approach to the score, combining Nordic folk, electronic, and avant-garde idioms, caught the attention of Renny Harlin, who tapped him to score two Chinese tentpole films: Legend of the Ancient Sword and Bodies at Rest. He also co-scored Misfits for Harlin with composer Trevor Rabin.
