Original score from the 2024 romantic horror comedy feature film directed by Caroline Lindy, starring Melissa Barrera, Meghann Fahy and Tommy Dewey, produced by Bombo Sports & Entertainment and released by Vertical Entertainment (USA).

THE STORY: After her life falls apart, soft-spoken actress Laura Franco finds her voice again when she meets a terrifying, yet weirdly charming Monster living in her closet.

THE SCORE: “Caroline Lindy approached me to score her amazing debut film Your Monster. It was interesting to me in that it was a mashup of a rom-com with an interesting horror twist, which I had never seen before. It was both extremely humorous, an unlikely love story, scary and emotional all at the same time with a ton of heart. Finding a musical language that could embrace all these various elements was difficult, but at its heart it needed a strong romantic theme, which we hear for the first time in ‘Sweet Mistress’. I remember playing the theme to Caroline on the piano that first time, and when I saw a couple of tears roll down her face I knew I had it! I also wanted a painful theme for the breakup with the love of Laura’s life, which we hear in ‘Feeling Really Down’. Again this passed the cry test. The other amazing thing about this film is that it features two fantastic on screen original songs from Patrick and Daniel Lazour. We get to hear Melissa Barrera belt out the fantastic ‘My Stranger’ as the curtain closer at the end of the film.” – Timothy Williams

THE COMPOSER: Timothy Williams is a multi-award winning composer best known for his work on Brightburn, Get Out, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Deadpool 2, Hobbs and Shaw, Butterfly Circus and Robert Duvall’s Wild Horses. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, Williams has won numerous awards and currently holds over 110 feature film credits. Besides the movies above for which he orchestrated and wrote additional music for, Williams also conducted the scores for Christopher Robin, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation, It and It 2. His and Kieran Kiely’s score for Finding You and Have You Heard About Greg?, co-scored with Chad Cannon and Jesse Carmichael, have been released by MovieScore Media, as well as the previous Bloomquist brothers film, She Came from the Woods, musical Intermedium and the uplifting indie drama Gringa.
