Big City (Erwann Kermorvant)
Original score from the 2007 western comedy feature directed by Djamel Bensalah, starring Claire Borotra, George Aguilar and Julian Black Antelope, produced by Miroir Magique! and released by Gaumont (France).
THE STORY: An 1800s Western spoof where the adults are off chasing the Indians and thus leaving the children behind and while their parents are away, the children take over the affairs of the town including its government.
THE COMPOSER: Erwann Kermorvant began his musical education at the age of 7 at the Lorient Conservatory where he started playing the clarinet. Since finishing the film music program of UCLA, he has written dozens of film and television scores, including the western adventure Big City and the space comedy Un ticket pour l’espace, both of which were released on CD by MovieScore Media. Kermorvant’s most recent credits include Ludovic Colbeau Justin’s comedy Le Lion and Bronx, the composer’s seventh collaboration with director Olivier Marchal since 2004 (36th Precinct, A Gang Story, Section Zero and Carbone).
