Un ticket pour l’espace (A Ticket to Space) (Erwann Kermorvant)

Original score from the 2006 sci-fi comedy feature directed by Eric Lartigau, starring Guillaume Canet, Kad Merad and Marina Foïs, produced and released by Gaumont (France).

THE STORY: Stéphane, an unemployed comedian, receives a winning lottery ticket from his son, offering two civilians the chance to stay in the European orbital station with a professional crew. This is how Stéphane suddenly finds himself in training with the other winner, Yonis, a former pilot forced into hiding since his brother, a serial killer, is in prison. Stéphane and Yonis take off under the orders of Commander Beaulieu, his teammate, Soizic, and a scientist specializing in poultry. Everything goes well, until Yonis takes the station hostage.

THE COMPOSER:Erwann Kermorvant began his musical education at the age of 7 at the Lorient Conservatory where he started playing the clarinet. Since finishing the film music program of UCLA, he has written dozens of film and television scores, including the western adventure Big City and the space comedy Un ticket pour l’espace, both of which were released on CD by MovieScore Media. Kermorvant’s most recent credits include Ludovic Colbeau Justin’s comedy Le Lion and Bronx, the composer’s seventh collaboration with director Olivier Marchal since 2004 (36th Precinct, A Gang Story, Section Zero and Carbone).
