THE SCORE: “The score for Your Attention Please was written for a small ensemble of strings, flutes and clarinets, shadowed by a layer of modular electronics and synthesizers that hovers over the music much as the digital world hovers over our lives. The documentary form called for restraint: the music stays close to the ground, giving the voices on screen the space to be heard rather than framing them. At its center, a recurring syncopated string figure traces the restless pulse of a technology that is always a step ahead, forever catching us slightly off balance. Yet the score is anything but bleak. Beneath the unease, the acoustic writing keeps finding its way back to warmth and tenderness, echoing the film’s quiet conviction that none of this is inevitable.” – Raphaël Dargent

THE COMPOSER: Raphaël Dargent is a French composer based in Los Angeles. His compositions have received multiple awards and include soundtracks for the Cannes selected feature The Legend (2018), 2020 Oscar eligible short film Two (2019), Prime Video thriller Silent as the Grave (2023) and the feature The Actor (Apple TV, 2024). He had several scores released by MovieScore Media, including the French drama L’instant présent, Silent as the Grave and most recently, Why Dinosaurs?
